The business began in 1985 as a cottage industry. In 1993, the business blossomed and the studio opened in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago.

The illustrious reputation of LeRoyale Icing evolved from a passion for fine art and gourmet cuisine. Le Royale Icing pioneered an unprecedented standard for cakes as art sculpture in Chicago and throughout the United States. For more than 20 years Le Royale Icing’s founder, Margaret Lastick, has received acclaim as a supreme maestro of cake decorating, from numerous food critics and art critics throughout the world.
